Foundation Hosts Volunteers and Apprentices Ahead of Skills Programme
My People First Foundation hosted volunteers and apprentices ahead of its upcoming Skills Acquisition Programme for Kogi Central — aimed at equipping participants with practical, income-generating skills like tailoring, catering, ICT, trades, agriculture, and more.
The programme drew an impressive turnout of over 2,000 offline and 2,500 online applicants, including eager teenagers and enthusiastic elderly women. Founder Hajiya Aishat Oyiza Omade praised the commitment shown and awarded three teenagers automatic tertiary scholarships. The initiative, supported by Dr. Abdullahi Ozomata, Technical Adviser to the Kogi State Governor, reflects the Foundation's commitment to sustainable empowerment, poverty reduction, and community development through skills training.

The visit marks a significant step toward expanding opportunities for hundreds of already-registered beneficiaries eager to acquire practical, life-changing skills. The Foundation is actively seeking collaboration with the facility, currently managed by God's Divine Grace Limited, to ensure that a greater number of our people are enrolled, trained, and empowered.

MONTHLY REVIEW
April 2026
April Activity Review — Grassroots Support and Renewed Hope
April was a deeply impactful and purpose-driven month for My People First Foundation. True to our mission, we remained committed to reaching the grassroots, supporting vulnerable women, and bringing hope to underserved communities.
Our engagements throughout the month focused on people who needed urgent healthcare, the launch of our Skills Acquisition Programme, and outreach to street women — where we shared not just support, but dignity, care, and a sense of belonging. These moments remind us why we do what we do: to lift others from pain and stand in the gap where it matters most.
